Carolyn Griffin

FROSTBURG- Carolyn P. (Whetstone) Griffin,59, of Frostburg passed away on February 1, 2018 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born December 11, 1958 in Frostburg she was the daughter of the late Philip C. Whetstone and Patsy L. Whetstone. She is survived by her companion Betty “Doc” Henson, children Michael Griffin and wife Tiffany of LaVale; Tasha Griffin of Baltimore; Corin Griffin of Florida; Steven Henson, Jr. and wife April of North Carolina; and Laurie M. Henson and husband Greg Tyree, Sr. of North Carolina; grandchildren, Keyaira Griffin, Kaden Griffin, Mahayla Griffin, Bryson Griffin, Riley Griffin, Emily Griffin, Madalyn Griffin, Gregory Tyree, Jr., Tyree T. Tyree, Beautiful Tyree, Pamela Henson, Eric Henson, Naomi Henson, John Henson, brothers, Philip C. Whetstone and Michael Whetstone, sisters Elizabeth Frischmann and Ann Carroll. Also, special friends Martha “Pooh” Nicely and companion Tina Robertson and their son Cameron. Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Monday from 10 -12 with funeral services at 12 with Carolyn’s brother, Chaplain Philip C. Whetstone officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
