John "Jack" Morgan

FROSTBURG- John “Jack” Morgan, 93, of Frostburg passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Genevieve Morgan, son Gary Adams, brothers, Harry , Edward, James , Frank , and Gomer and sisters Mary Robinette and Mabel Shumaker. Born in Frostburg on November 10, 1925, he was the son of the late James Morgan and Margaret (Lewis) Morgan. Jack worked as an engineer at Westinghouse Hanford Nuclear Complex in Richland, Washington. He was a member of Mt. Lodge 99 A.F. & A. M. and Scottish Rite of Kennewick, WA. He was active in the Boy Scouts of the greater Baltimore Area Council. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by son John Morgan and wife, Linda, of St. Charles, MO; and one grandchild, Anna Marie Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. David Sandvick officiating. Mt. Lodge 99 A.F. & A.M. will conduct a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maryland Masonic Charities.
