Albert Franklin Crowe, Sr.

Frostburg, MD

 Albert Franklin Crowe Sr. passed away on Saturday, September 7,2024 surrounded by his family. Born on April 1,1940 in Mount Savage, Maryland, he was the son of the late James Alonzo and Helen (Winner) Crowe. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William, James, and Ronald and three sisters, Geraldine Folk, Mary Schiver and Patricia Miller.

 Albert was a member of St, Joseph’s Catholic Church. He retired from the Board of Education as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #40. He enjoyed traveling, camping hunting and fishing.

 He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Carol (Llewellyn) Crowe, one son, Albert F. Crowe, Jr. and girlfriend, Jodi Lindsay. Two daughters, Kim Dixon and boyfriend Bud Blank, and Julie Crowe-Gulick and husband Bill. He is also survived by two grandsons, Branden Dixon and girlfriend Brittany Marie and Ben Dixon and wife Mandi. He is also survived by two great grandsons, Cole and Carson Dixon. He also leaves behind three sisters, Joyce Spataro, Jean Digman and Jane McAfee. He also leaves behind three sisters in laws, Lorraine Guthrie, Mary Lynne Crowe and Janet Royer and many nieces and nephews. But especially his grand puppy, Maxx.

Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Paul Demers officiating.

 Inurnment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park.
