Allan McDonald

FROSTBURG- Allan Dale McDonald, 58, of Laurel, formerly of Frostburg went peacefully home to Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, while at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Born on May 5, 1963, Mr. McDonald was the son of the late James and Carol (Leasure) McDonald. Allan was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Milson and Ellen Leasure and his paternal grandparents John James and Agnes McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a member of the First Congregational Church of Frostburg. Allan was a 1981 graduate of Beall High School, a 1985 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, and a 1989 graduate of Temple University Dental School. Allan has been employed the past two decades as a teacher in the Prince George’s County Public Schools, most recently at High Point High School. Allan is also a veteran of the United States Army.

Allan leaves behind two sisters, Lori Haberlein and husband, William, of Smithsburg and Cathy Wakefield and husband, Jamie of Cresaptown. In addition, he leaves behind a niece, Ashley Haberlein of Smithsburg as well as three nephews, Lucas Haberlein and wife Darla of Williamsport and Jacob and Justin Wakefield of Cresaptown. Also surviving is Allan’s special friend, Bette Jo Cole of Greenbelt

. Family and friends will be received at Sowers Funeral Home, 60 West Main St., Frostburg, on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM with funeral services immediately following at the funeral home on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1PM with Pastor Ken Hamilton officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
