Angela Maria (Layman) Llewellyn, 78, of Frostburg, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2018 at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born August 22, 1939, in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Blaine Layman and Mary (McKenzie) Layman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Wesley Llewellyn, along with one sister, Virginia DeWitt and one brother, Michael Layman. Angela graduate from Northern High School in 1957. She married soon after and dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and lovingly raising four children. She was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Church in Frostburg for over 50 years. Angela’s generosity knew no bounds. She was a kind and gentle spirit and had the sweetest smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her two sons, Mark Llewellyn, Frostburg, Dale Llewellyn and wife Tara, Florida and two daughters, Carolyn Llewellyn, Frostburg, and Laura (Llewellyn) Lewis and husband Ron, Cumberland. She is also survived by two brothers, Anthony Layman and wife Alma, Finzel, Bernard Layman, Glen Burnie and two sisters, Teresa Bowman Winner, LaVale, and Margaret Stewart, Cumberland, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend much love and appreciation to the awesome staff at the Schwab Cancer Center for all their loving care and support. They were like a second family to her over the last three years as she courageously battled Stage IV inflammatory breast cancer. A memorial service will be held at Sowers Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 13 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. Friends will be received one hour before the service.
