FROSTBURG - Betty Delores Miller, “Dee”, 92, of Frostburg went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at home with her family by her side.
Delores was born in Shaft on March 18, 1933, to the late William Miller and the late Leoda (Plunkett) Miller. She was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Jean Miller, and nephew William Stanley Miller.
Delores was a lifetime member of the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Frostburg State University after thirty years working for the State of Maryland. Delores never knew a stranger, and she will be remembered for her generous spirit and her playful sense of humor. She was an enthusiastic bike rider. While in her sixties, she twice biked the C&O Canal Towpath from Cumberland to Washington DC and back. Delores loved watching all the different birds in her back yard, spending time in her flower gardens, and caring for her stunning azaleas. She loved classic cars and riding around town in her “Big Blue” Chrysler. But most of all she loved and served her family.
She will be sorely missed by her brother Harold Miller of LaVale; Her nieces Holly Robinson and husband Don of Great Cacapon West Virginia; and Katrina Coburn of Hagerstown; her nephews Greg Miller and best friend Joanie of Frostburg; and Scott Miller and wife Alicia of Washington DC. Also surviving are grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Kalia Carey and husband Eric, Adriel Robinson, April Miller, Julie Robeson and husband Mike, Chris Miller and wife Jenna, Jesse Miller and wife Amanda, Cody Miller and wife Jess, Elli Coburn, Lilly Coburn, and Chagall Coburn. Great-great nieces and nephews Kami, Luke, Caitlin and husband Jordan, Caleb, Brielle, Wyatt, Carver, Phoebe, Kolt, Koda, Logan, Gabriel, Israel, Jasper and Silas, and her dear friend Roxanne Haupt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene, 150 Center Street, Frostburg with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Family and friends will be received at 12:00pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, PO Box 64, Frostburg, MD 21532.
Inurnment will be private in Frostburg Memorial Park.
