Bonnie Kay Niner, 82 years old of Keyser, WV and Frostburg, Md. went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2024. Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hurshel M. Niner, her father, Clifton C. “Budd” Fuller, and her mother Virginia C. “Ginny” Fuller.
She is survived by her two children, daughter Julie A. Ryan and her husband Steve, and son James R. “Rick” Dixon, Jr. and his wife Robin and her stepdaughter, Elizabeth F. Hayes and her husband Phil. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Zachary V. Ryan and his wife Tiffany, Natasha R. Urrutia and her husband Leonel, Tyrus K. Dixon and his wife Tiffany and Lauren Perry and her husband Dallas. Bonnie was blessed with five great-grandchildren—Fiona, Gavin, Hunter, Izaac and Hendrix. She is also survived by her brother Michael C. Fuller and Niece Fran Abatte, and nephew Robert Fuller.
Bonnie was born on June 1, 1942, in Keyser, WV, to Clifton and Virginia Fuller. She was the Executive Director of the Mineral County chapter of the American Red Cross and worked for 23 years in the chapter. She loved to ride motorcycles, explore nature in the mountains and shop with her husband, Hursh and enjoyed the companionship of her many pets. She is remembered as a fiercely proud and independent woman.
Bonnie spent her final years at Frostburg Heights apartments in Frostburg with her cat, Marley.
A private family service will be held at Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Allegany County Social Services, especially Chris and Susan for making her final years comfortable, to remain dignified and independent while providing vital services she needed to remain so.
Bonnie will be missed by many whose lives she touched in her 82 years on this earth.
Bonnie has been reunited with her beloved husband, Hursh yet again.
