Donald Cutter

December 31, 1948 — June 2, 2016

FROSTBURG- Donald Martin Cutter, 67, of Frostburg died on Thursday, June 2, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Frostburg he was the son of the late Charles and Mabel (McKenzie) Cutter. He was preceded in death by siblings, Charles “Curley” Cutter and Roy Cutter and wife, Nancy. Donald attended Northern High School and was a construction worker by trade. During most of his life, he also operated a wood cutting service. During his active life, he was always willing to help family, neighbors, and friends. Donald was a true friend in every sense of the word. He was a man of faith and worked tirelessly for his church community. He is survived by Bonnie (Minnick) Cutter his wife of 45 years and his two special companions who he loved dearly. Patches and Lily were the smile in his heart and they provided many hours of love and entertainment to him. He is also survived by siblings, James and Rachel Cutter of Lonaconing, and Gene Cutter of Frostburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wants to extend special thanks to his best friend Bill Swauger who would do anything for him. Also, special thanks to Bill Fratz, and to his nieces Cheryl Lancaster and Linda Pfister who helped him throughout this serious illness. Bonnie and Donald are forever grateful for their friend Susan Sommers who has given them unending love and support. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2:30 at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Agnew officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
