Dr. Albert Crall

FROSTBURG- Dr. Albert Marlin Crall,83, of Frostburg passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born January 18, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virgina , he was the son of the late Albert S. Crall and Matilda (Pyles) Crall. He is preceded in death by a sister Roberta Gongola and a brother Daniel Crall. Dr. Crall taught Psychology at Frostburg State University where he retired Professor Emeritus. He was a member of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and active with the Boy Scouts. Dr. Crall served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958. He was also a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Keyser and the American Legion Farrady Post 24. He is survived by his wife Sarah (Decoster) Crall, a son Stewart Crall of Acton, Massachusetts; daughters Sarah Christine Reiser of Pittsburgh; Deborah Crall and husband Geoffrey Burley of Frostburg; and Penelope Gillett and husband Thomas of Cockeysville; grandchildren, Matthew, Benjamin, Jacqueline, Gregory, Roland, and Nathanial. A visitation will be held at the Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. American Legion Farrady Post will accord military honors at 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 303 S. Mineral Street in Keyser at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roland Nairn officiating. Inurnment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Potomac Council, 14416 McMullen Hwy SW, Cumberland, MD 21502 or to the Scholarship Fund at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 303 S. Mineral Street, Keyser, WV 26726.
