Edward F. Carder, Jr. 72, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland. Born in Cumberland on November 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Llewella (Sperry) Carder, Sr. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Jacquelyn Jones.
Ed was a member of Mt. Lodge 99 A.F. & A.M. He had worked at Acme market and retired as a corrections officer.
He is survived by sons, Brian Carder and wife, Stephanie; Kevin Carder and wife, Shannon; fiancée, Karina Moffatt, grandchildren, Ethan, Brandon, Adam, Emily, Jamie, Logan, Wyatt, and great grandchild, Ezra.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
