FROSTBURG- Eleanor Virginia Cole Joshua, 94, of Frostburg, Maryland and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at La Resulta Assisted Living Facility on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Born on October 23, 1923 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of Ernest E. Cole and Deanna (Williams) Cole. She is preceded in death by brothers Jack Cole, Fred Cole, Jim Cole, Leroy Cole, Ernest Cole, William Cole, and sister, Betty Green. She served her country honorably and retired from the U.S. Army. She was a Jehovah’s Witness. Surviving are husband, Austin Joshua, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; sisters, Deanna Ross, Frostburg, MD and Genevieve Dorsey, Rochester, NY; Brothers-in-law Pedrito Lanclos, Sr. and Leonard Joshua, St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands; sisters-in-law Rena Joshua, Orlando, FL, Inger Lanclos, Jacksonville, FL and Bernice Lanclos. St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; special niece-in-law Sharlene Diggs and caregivers Rhona Morton, Norrine Morgan and Kirsten “KeKe” Greenway, St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. A memorial service will be held at Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Jackson.
