FROSTBURG- Eugene Folk, 87, of Frostburg passed away at his home on Friday, August 28, 2020 with his wife and son holding his hands. Born July 5, 1933 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Harry W. Sr. and Myra (Welsh) Folk. He is preceded in death by brothers, Chester, Harry, and Jimmy Folk, and sister, Shirley Buskirk. Eugene served his country in the U.S. Army serving in Panama. He was a 50- year member of the Local 1024 Mill Wrights, and an active in the Mill Wrights Union. He also was a member of Mt. Lodge 99 A.F. & A. M., and the Ali Ghan Shrine Club. Eugene had a love for animals and enjoyed working on his home. His courageous smile will be sadly missed. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn, and his pride and joy, son, Troy Folk. Interment will be at Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers over the radio and special thanks to the Hospice nurses and aides.
