John Langan

FROSTBURG- John Joseph “Joe” Langan, 93, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at his home. Born July 8, 1927 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late John A. and Mary (Ryan) Langan. He is preceded in death by brothers, Edward “Barney” Langan and Robert Langan. Joe was retired from ABL after 37 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Joe was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Michael’s Church and a 1945 graduate of LaSalle High School. He enjoyed Square Dancing and Line Dancing. Joe also enjoyed shooting pool and playing baseball. He is survived by his wife Betty J. Langan , nieces, Mary “Kitty” Burkey, Alice Hovatter, and Margaret “Peggy” Price, nephews, Ed, James, Robert, and Steve Langan, and a number of other nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 1 p.m. with Father Ed Hendricks officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
