John "Jack" Keller

June 14, 1957 — November 5, 2016

John Thomas “Jack” Keller, died Saturday Nov. 5, 2016. Age 59, resident of Loveland. Beloved husband of Debbie (Boone) Keller; Father of David and wife Lynn Gidley of Parsons, WV; Melissa and husband Dewey Sanders of Eustis, FL; and Christopher and wife Tia Gidley of Hamilton, WV. Loving grandfather of Nick, Brent, Logan, Lindsey, Zack, Byron, and Jenelle. Son of Sarah (Winters) Keller and the late William Keller. Brother of Steve (Shelli) Keller, Brian (Suzie) Keller and Sylvia “Sis” Craciun. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was a "Jack of all Trades". He spent from 1975 to 1983 in the Army Reserves as an engineer and communications specialist with Military Police. He spent 28 years with numerous radio stations throughout WV and MD. He served as an on-air DJ as well as an engineer. In moving to Ohio, he worked as a sales consultant for Harris Broadcast systems. He then joined his wife Debbie at Newman Sanitary Gasket, where he served in numerous departments within the manufacturing plant. Jack loved serving and worshipping the Lord with his church family most, always helping or leading in any aspect for which he was called upon on. He also enjoyed woodworking and making handmade gifts for his family. He had an enormous love of trains. Jack loved his family and kids. He was best known for his role of Santa Claus throughout the local Cincinnati area. Jack worked as Santa at the Christmas Ranch where he was, for many, the only Santa their children ever knew. Friends will be received Tuesday, Nov. 8th, from 5:00PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., both at Mihovk Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd., Evendale. A second visitation will be held Thursday, Nov.10th, at Sowers Funeral Home, 60 W Main St. Frostburg, MD 21532. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. with graveside services immediately following at RestLawn Memorial Gardens in LaVale, MD with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to St. Jude Hospital for Children, Shriners Hospital for Children or Neediest Kids of All, a local Cincinnati charity.
