Margaret Weimer Robison

Margaret Weimer Robison, 102, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2024.  Born on December 17th, 1921, in Salisbury PA. Margaret was the daughter of James H Weimer and Elizabeth (Winner) Weimer. She was preceded in death by her husband James I Robison; her son John L Robison; and five of her sisters, Mary Thoerig, Veronica Rogers, Rosemary Ford, Elaine Beeman, and Francis Blocher. Margaret is survived by her youngest sister Annette Lashley. 

 

She is survived by her children son James J Robison and wife Janet, daughter Mary Susan Norris and husband Michael; daughter Margaret D Robison-Carney and husband Timothy. She had 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

 Margaret was a retired elementary school teacher. She and her husband owned and operated the Glen Savage Dairy,Inc. business in Mt Savage Maryland for many years. She was an avid gardener and provided many meals for not just her family but also for those who worked the farm. She is well remembered for her delicious meals and desserts. She loved trying new recipes! 

 

 Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at St.Patrick's Catholic Church in Mt Savage at 1100 am with Father Doug Kenney and Father Edward Hendricks as celebrant.


  Final resting place will be in St Patrick's Cemetery (located in the middle of her farm on land she and her husband donated to St Patrick Church where they were members. She was a member of St Patrick Church for 97 years.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of St. Patrick’s Church, Mount Savage.
