Marvin Beachy

GRANTSVILLE- Marvin Eugene Beachy, 83, of Grantsville passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born in Grantsville on June 28, 1938 he was the son of the late Elmer Clayton Beachy and Goldie (Butler) Beachy. He is also preceded in death by a sister Donna Stahl, brother Olen Beachy, and a grandson Kaiden Rounds.

Marvin worked for 27 years at Northern High School as a custodian. He was also a 37- year member of Northern Garrett Rescue Squad.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Kay Beachy, daughter, Mary Kay Rounds and husband Kevin of Barton; son, David E. Beachy and wife Christine of Meyersdale. Also, grandchildren, Andrew Bittinger, Cody Beachy, and Mason Rounds; great-grandchildren, Camden, Cason, and Avery.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
