Mary Ann Cummings

Mary Ann (Garton) Cummings, 68, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center surrounded by her family.

Mary Ann was born in Frostburg on August 8, 1954 to the late Ernest William (Bill) and Esther (Filsinger) Garton. She is preceded in death by sister-in-law, Tina Gormley.

Mary Ann was a homemaker. She liked the simple things in life, flowers, bird watching, and feeding the ducks.

She is survived by her husband James “Dusty” Cummings, son, J. Dustin Cummings and wife Shannon; daughter, Melissa Wilt and significant other, Jeff Ashenfelter; grandchildren, Grayson Cummings, Weston Cummings, Kody Wilt and wife Skylar, Colton Wilt, Ethan Wilt, and Peyton Wilt. Also, brother Larry Garton and wife Vicki; sisters, Linda Morton and husband Ronnie, Carol Mellott, and sisters-in-law, Jessie Stevenson and Jeta Ewing.

A visitation will be held at the Sowers Funeral Home on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Final resting place will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
