Mike H. Goebel, 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born June 4, 1945 in Mount Savage he was the son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Bittinger) Goebel. He is also preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Goebel, and brother Ernie Goebel and Frank Goebel.

Mike enjoyed hunting, walking, air planes, and Pirates Baseball. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his son Rob Goebel and fiancée, Ann Steele, grandchildren Ethan Goebel and Lilly Goebel, step grandchildren, Jerry Lafferty, Jonathan Lafferty, and Alicen Steele, brothers, Charles Goebel, Rich Goebel, and sister, Joan Gerhard.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ken Korns officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
