Sean Patrick McAteer

Sean Patrick McAteer of Frostburg passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born in Cumberland on April 16, 1968, he was the son of Robert McAteer, Sr.  and the late Rosalie Ann (Warner) McAteer.  He is also preceded in death by a niece, Melissa McAteer.

Sean was a graduate of Bishop Walsh High School Class of 1986. He was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Michael’s Church.  He had worked maintenance at St. Michael’s Church and worked as a supervisor at the Blind Industry for 25 years.

Besides his father, Robert McAteer, Sr., Sean is survived by his fiancée, Brenda Haggerty; brothers, Robert McAteer, Jr. and Shane McAteer; sisters, Denise Stevens and husband Scott and Patricia McAteer; nieces and nephews, Shellie Stevens, Logan Stevens, Alec Edwards, Lillian Nizer, Addison and Dayton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
