Sondra Fritz Jabbarpour “Bebe”, 78, passed away peacefully to Heaven on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 after her fourth battle with breast cancer. She was born on June 25, 1943 in Frostburg, MD, to the late Alfred and Mildred Fritz. Sondra lived in Point Pleasant, WV with her family since 1973.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Asadollah Jabbarpour and son, Yadollah Jabbarpour. Sondra is survived by her sister Billie Sue Kyger (Tim Kyger), her daughter Jamie Jabbarpour Via (James Via), her daughter-in-law Martina Retter (Yad), grandchildren Jonathan and Jordan Via and Christopher and Alexandra Jabbarpour and nephew Timothy Kyger and niece Lauren Kyger and many cousins.
Sondra graduated from Beall High School, in May, 1961; and attended University of Rio Grande; graduating with a B.S. in Education. She taught both in the classroom and Title 1 for 27 years in Mason County, WV. Sondra was very passionate about her career and loved helping children succeed. She also cherished the special friendships that she developed with her colleagues in education. Their mutual goal was to advance learning and being a part of a bigger family that provided children and teachers a better future. Sondra loved singing, flowers, shopping, and her dogs. Most importantly, she loved spending time with family and friends. She had a very kind heart and was truly a ray of sunshine and will be greatly missed.
There will be a graveside service at Frostburg Memorial Park in Frostburg, MD on Sat., April 23 at 1pm with Rev. Mark Molter officiating.
