FROSTBURG- Wilbert Lawson Williams, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Sterling Care.
Born June 2, 1935 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Wilbert L. and Ethel (Fisher) Williams. Wilbert was also proceeded in death by his sister, Larene Ann Stacey in 1998 and a twin brother and sister at birth.
Wilbert was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company.
He is survived by a brother, Dale Williams, Sr. of Frostburg; nieces and nephews, Dale Williams, Jr. and wife Johna, Kristi Werner and husband JT; great nieces and nephews, Sasha Leasure and husband Blaine; Holly Williams, Hunter Williams, and Kaitlynn Werner; great- great nieces and nephews, Berkley Leasure, Spencer Leasure, and Braden Buckel. In the Utah area, he is survived by 11 nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Diane Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. American Legion Farrady Post 24 will accord military honors at the graveside.
Pallbearers will be John T. Werner, Blaine Leasure, Dale K. Williams, Jr., and Hunter J. Williams.
