Buddy worked at Canteen Vending Services and ABL. He could always be found working on cars in his garage in the evening and weekends in his younger years. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, and was there to fix everything they took to him. In his younger years, he raced at Hagerstown Speedway and had many records. Buddy was a member of the Frostburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a previous member of the Army Reserves, Classy Chasis Car Club, Masonic Temple Lodge, Piney Mountain Sportsman Club, and the Barrelville Outdoor Club. He and Rose could always be seen working in the yard until his health declined. He loved spoiling his grandkids. Many thanks to the family and friends, neighbors and community who looked out for him and assisted getting him back home on his dementia adventures to “get back home.” It was tough on all of us, and we appreciated the caring folks that were there for us and helped out.
Special thanks to Leroy Witt, John Brant, Mike Whitehead, and Frances Ryan.
Special thanks to Home Healthcare and Hospice.
Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral home on Thursday, November 18th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services following at 1 p.m. with Brother Dave Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
