Edward Garlock, Sr.

Edward Paul (“Butch”) Garlock Sr., 77, Edinboro, PA passed away December 16, 2020 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA.

Born June 28, 1943 in Larimar, PA he was the son of the late Robert Simon Garlock and Anna (Kiser) Burkett.

Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family. He was a tradesman by nature and spent much of his life refinishing antique furniture. He was a wonderful storyteller and always had an old favorite ready to tell even if you’d heard it a dozen times before.

He is survived by his brother James Garlock Sr, Ft. Ashby, WV; sisters Rosalie Haines, Frostburg, MD and Linda Baer, Aberdeen, MD. Also, by his children Rick McKenzie & Wife Wendy of LaVale, MD, Joe McKenzie & Wife Tina of Klamath Falls, OR; Jimmy Lashbaugh & Wife Sandy of Cresaptown, MD, Paul Garlock & Wife Michelle of Las Vegas, NV; Kenny Garlock of Louisville, KY; and Jami Strickland & Husband Derek of Edinboro, PA.

He surrounded his home with pictures of his family including his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-children, all whom he loved very much.

Graveside Services will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Sandvick officiating.

Family will meet privately afterward.
