Elizabeth Robeson

Elizabeth “Libby” Robeson, 92, passed away on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at Haida Manor in Hastings, PA. Born in South Carolina, she was the youngest of 10 children. She married Robert Owen Robeson Sr. and moved to the Frostburg area at the age of 16. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Robeson Sr, daughter Diana Ruth Rayman and son Robert “Rusty” Robeson Jr. and her grandson Kevin Michael Aldridge.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Lynn Clark, son in law Edward John Clark IV, daughter Janet Lee Brittingham and partner James Smith. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Libby was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church until moving to Baltimore where she became a member of the Essex United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, member and past president of the Lioness Club of Frostburg. After her husband’s passing she moved with her daughter Karen in Baltimore and remained in Baltimore until the time came to move her closer to her daughter Janet in Pennsylvania and into assisted living. She enjoyed the ladies Tuesday group at church, gardening and taking care of her flowers, puzzle books and watching Days of Our Lives with Cinnamon, her lap dog and companion wherever she was. She also enjoyed cooking and made the best mac & cheese around.

Friends and family will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Saturday September 3rd, 2022 from 11am for a viewing with services to follow at 1pm with Rev. Kyle Durbin Officiating.

Interment will be at Mount Zion church in Frostburg. Friends and family are invited to food and refreshments afterwards at 13501 Bowman’s Lane, Mt Savage MD 21545.
