ECKHART- Johnny Robert Booth passed away on Tuesday Sept. 13, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, PA with his wife and daughters by his side.

Born Sept. 10, 1943 in Mt. Savage to the late James Walter and Mary (Gracie) Booth. John was preceded in death by his 1st wife Barbara, son Andrew and brother Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Carol Booth, daughters Melissa Wilson and husband Leonard, Amanda Harden and husband Steven, Theresa Headley and husband Joseph, and Mary Garlitz and friend Marty. John leaves behind 10 grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Thomas, Chelsey, Joshua, Amber, Stephanie, Dylan, Megan, Andrea, Tony Jr., Haley and 11 great grandchildren. Brother James Booth and wife Nancy, Brother Bernard Booth, Sister Kathleen Wahl, Ex Son in law Tony Garlitz, Sister in law Evelyn Loar, Brother in law Robert Piper and wife Stephanie, Sister in law Alma Nelson, one uncle Donnie Booth plus too many nieces and nephews and cousins to mention. John leaves behind his four legged fur baby Cheyenne who he loved so much.

We would like to say thank you to all the friends he has made going to McDonald’s daily. He thought of you all as family. Thank you also to the nurses in the ICU in Pittsburgh that showed care while our father was there.

Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Barkley officiating.
